Commission C Expects BPRD to Achieve Tax Revenue Target in 2020

The Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission C asked Jakarta Tax and Levy Agency (BPRD) to keep innovating to achieve tax revenue target for 2020 as much as Rp 50.17 trillion.

"Council hopes tax revenue target can be achieved because if they couldn't reach the target, it would reduce regional income," asserted the Commission C Vice Chairman, Rasyidi HY, at Jakarta DPRD Building, Thursday (12/5).

According to him, they should synergize with other regional apparatus organizations (OPD) thus locally-generated revenue (PAD) as the main factor in forming 2020 City Budget (APBD) could be optimized.

"This local revenue in 2020 must be 100 percent or even exceed the target," he stated.

Meanwhile, Jakarta BPRD Head, Faisal Syarifuddin explained that there were 13 taxes that should be collected next year. Those were Vehicle Tax (PKB) as much as Rp 9.5 trillion; Vehicle-Ownership Transfer Fee (BBN-KB) Rp 5.9 trillion; Motor Fuel Tax Rp 1.4 trillion; Hotel Tax Rp 1.95 trillion; Restaurant Tax Rp 4.25 trillion; Entertainment Tax Rp 1.1 trillion.

Next, Billboard Tax Rp 1.32 trillion; Street Lighting Tax Rp 1.02 trillion; Ground Water Tax (PAT) Rp 120 billion; Parking Tax Rp 1.35 trillion; Building and Land Acquisition Tax (BPHTB) Rp 10.6 trillion; Urban and Rural Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) Rp 11 trillion; and Cigarette Tax Rp 650 billion.

"We are optimistic to achieve our tax revenue target by intensifying socialization, education, and tax collecting," he closed.
